Skin Care Options for Your 20’s
in Avon, Connecticut
If you are a patient in your 20’s, you may not feel the need to practice a strict skincare regime, since your skin is still young and resilient. However, taking care of your skin is vital to your health. Not only can healthy skin help to better fight signs of aging, it also heals quicker and combats potential diseases better than unhealthy skin. Two of the biggest concerns for those in their 20’s is acne and skin irregularities. Read on to learn how Stanislaw Facial Plastic Surgery Center in Connecticut can help treat these conditions.
Acne
Throughout our lives, our skin will go through different stages. In our teens, our hormones often cause us to break out more. However, adults can often suffer from acne as well. Stress, changes in our hormone levels, as well as starting or stopping birth control pills can all take a toll on our skin, causing us to break out. At Stanislaw Facial Plastic Surgery Center, we offer medical grade acne skin care treatments to help your complexion stay clear and beautiful.
We also offer acne scarring treatment for those who are still living with daily reminders of their teenage acne. This can be done using a variety of techniques, including microdermabrasion, chemical peels, collagen induction therapy, injectable fillers, pulsed dye laser treatments, laser resurfacing, dermabrasion, and surgical excision. The type of treatment used will depend on the features of your scar(s).
Skin Irregularities
Living our everyday lives exposes us to environmental factors which can damage our skin, like free radicals and damage from the sun. We offer a selection of facials and skin peels to combat environmental damage to the skin, hydrating and protecting the complexion from further injury.
For patients who are unhappy with skin irregularities or blemishes, we offer microdermabrasion which can treat hyperpigmentation, fines lines, acne scars, and clogged pores. Microdermabrasion is a multiple-step process, including cleansing, extracting, and hydrating to build collagen and skin thickness.
